Fall in love with your fear.

This mindset has guided my journey into the trades and onto the stage.

Since 2013, I have worked in the oil and gas industry as a pipeline skilled labourer and heavy equipment operator. Working in male-majority environments taught me resilience, confidence, and how to hold my own while leading with compassion, humour, and a strong work ethic. I learned early that confidence doesn’t just appear. It’s built by showing up and watching yourself do the thing you once thought you couldn’t.

Over time, that commitment gave me the confidence to step onto stages and speak about what trades work really looks like. Not just the highlights, but the long days, the learning curves, and the pride that comes from doing hard things well. I’m passionate about shedding light on skilled trades because too many people never get a clear picture of what these careers can truly offer.

As a speaker, I focus on creating engaging, relatable experiences that connect with audiences of all sizes. Whether speaking in classrooms, auditoriums or community spaces, I aim to bring energy, honesty, and humour into every room. I believe the best talks aren’t lectures. They’re conversations that make people think, laugh, and see new possibilities for themselves.

Today, I continue to grow my skills while preparing to enter the Heavy Equipment Technician (HET) pre-apprenticeship program through Women Building Futures, expanding my path from heavy equipment operation into heavy-duty mechanics. Alongside my trades career, I speak to youth, schools, and organizations about opportunity, perseverance, and the value of exploring skilled trades as meaningful career paths.

My goal is simple. I want the next generation to see what’s possible, even when the path feels intimidating at first.
